Sales in the real estate market, in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, saw a surge this Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival Holiday, Feb 18 - 24, with reports of 42 property deals, in the first six days, compared with 13 for last year, and 30 back in 2013.
Meanwhile, promotions in the real estate business were down considerably during the 7-day holiday, with a local property website reporting that the total number of special real estate promotions below 20, or almost half the figure of a year ago.
In commenting on the development, in user of QQ, a Chinese chat site, said, “A few years ago during Spring Festival holiday, there were many property sales activities and draws, where adults could get gift cards and even children would enjoy themselves, but this year I didn’t see any promotion announcements and there were few fun activities to join in.”
