Fujian province has announced a plan to hire top graduates from five big-name Chinese universities for government employment, the Strait Herald reported on March 6, citing a provincial organization dept.
The candidates will be singled out from the Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University, Fudan University, and Shanghai Jiaotong University, according to the rules. They will have to pass exams, interviews and physical checkups, with finalists decided in June and appointed in July for work in August.
Those with a master's degree will have the rank of a sub-division official, while PhDs will rank at the deputies at section level.
After two years of probation, they will have another assessment, with those who pass being accepted for another five years, after which they will become part of management, while whose who fail will be dismissed.
