Quanzhou city’s air quality ranked first among nine prefecture-level cities in Fujian province in February, according to a report by the provincial environmental protection department.

Xiamen and Longyan took the second and third places, followed by cities of Ningde, Zhangzhou, Putian, Fuzhou, Nanping and Sanming. The major pollutant in the nine cities is PM2.5.

The top five county-level cities with best air qualities are Changle, Wuyishan, Shishi, Fuqing and Jianyang.
