A delegation from the University of Western Sydney (UWS), led by its president Barney Glover, visited Fujian province from March 21 to 23.

In a meeting with guests in Fuzhou on Monday, You Quan, Party secretary of Fujian, extended a welcome to them and hoped UWS and its counterparts in Fujian can increase communication and personnel exchange.

Glover said UWS will use its methods to deepen cultural and educational communication with Fujian and help colleges produce more high-quality professionals.

In the three-day span, UWS signed a memorandum of understanding with Huaqiao University to promote Chinese cultural education in UWS and increase visits by students and teachers. The guests also visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone and major universities in Fuzhou for cooperation.
