A delegation from an association of Fujian entrepreneurs in Canada paid a visit to the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province on March 16 to look for business opportunities, Pingtan Times reported.
The guests toured a number of key business projects including the Taiwan Business Incubator, the Business Operation Center and Jinjiang Bay district, and met with local officials.
Exploitation and opening-up of Pingtan is a national strategy. After years of efforts, it has improved infrastructure conditions and the ecological environment, with increasing advantages in cross-Straits communication. After being approved as a free trade zone, Pingtan now boasts a number of preferential policies with convenient customs measures, said Li Dejin, director of the PCPZ’s administrative committee.
Pingtan welcomes members of the Fujian entrepreneur association in Canada to make investments in Pingtan, where it will create the most favorable business climate for them, he added.
Ouyang Yuansen, the Fujian association's chairman, said Pingtan is his hometown and he loves everything about it. By making his first home trip in 26 years, he hopes to find investment opportunities here and contribute to Pingtan’s development.
