The opening ceremony of the 2015 Xiamen Shopping Festival was held at the China City Mall at 16:00 on April 25.

The Xiamen Shopping Festival has been successfully held for 8 years.

An official WeChat account, the “Xiamen Shopping Festival (厦门购物节)”, was put into service on the same day. Residents can gain gifts by following the account and attending its online events, such as the “Most Welcomed Shopping Spots”.

The Xiamen Shopping Festival will focus on discounts on cars and retailing. 6 major business circles in Xiamen will conduct synchronized sales events and various shopping centers will hold large-scale themed activities over the following month during the carnival.

To cope with the opening of the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, the 2015 Xiamen Shopping Carnival was launched with the purpose of enlarging domestic demands and boosting consumption.
