Xiamen is expected to welcome its first official Apple retail store, according to new store plans revealed by Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, who visited the West Lake Apple Store in Hangzhou Wednesday evening.
China currently has 19 Apple stores, and the number is expected to reach 40 within Greater China this year.
Apple Inc. plans to open new Apple retail stores in Shenyang, Qingdao, Xiamen, Jinan, Guangzhou, Dalian, Nanjing, Nanning and Fuzhou.
Apple Inc. has posted recruitment for solutions consultants for its planned Xiamen store on its official website on May 11th.

As of March this year, Apple Inc. had 453 Apple retail stores in 16 countries and regions.
Unlike the current Apple authorized resellers in Xiamen, the Apple Store is directly owned by the Apple Inc. and will offer more premium services and products for its customers.

The Apple Store has even obatined legal protection for its unique decorations and design, which features big Apple logos, big glass curtain walls, see-through glass tables and tables made from expensive wood.
