A Xinjiang investment promotion event was held on May 25 in the city of Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The event was an extended activity organized by the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) for Xinjiang, the 2014 guest province/region of honor.

Forty enterprises and investors met with representatives from Xinjiang’s development zones and enterprises to discuss cooperation projects in the fields of energy, minerals, agriculture, tourism and logistics. Following the meeting, entrepreneurs visited local enterprises to gain a better understanding of the region’s development.

The 19th CIFIT will be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.
