Xiamen's first 24-hour bookstore is expected to be opened to the public on July 5. A book club was held on June 27 by the store's investor Yuntai Shushe.
Invested by the Yuntai Shushe, which has successfully opened five 24-hour bookstores in Hangzhou, the bookstore will be located in Wenjiao Park of Xiang'an district.
The bookstore will feature open spaces, comfortable chairs, music and coffee, and free books. The chain's first store was opened in Hangzhou last July. The store is not equipped with surveillance cameras, but its book inventory increased by over 200 books in 3 months. The books were donated by readers.
