The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone of Fujian province unveiled a series of policies to encourage young people to work or start businesses in its Taiwan Innovation Park, July 9.
According to the new policy announcement made at the 2015 Pingtan Innovation Forum for Entrepreneurs and Scientists, young entrepreneurs from either mainland or Taiwan and start-up support enterprises will enjoy a low entry threshold to the park as well as receiving support in financing and talent pool available in the zone.
As an industry-university-research platform for the cross-Straits cooperation and exchange, the Taiwan Innovation Park aims to cultivate successful young entrepreneurs and emerging businesses and promote the transformation of research achievements.
So far, it has become a base for start-ups in the fields of electronics, bio-medicine, marine science and technology and new energy. The zone also strives for attracting other businesses such as e-commerce, service outsourcing, tourism, financing and legal services to the park.
