Unlicensed boats seized for illegal mining of red coral are destroyed in Putian city, Fujian province, on Aug 5. It is the third time this year for Fujian to destroy illegal ships. Fujian has stepped up its crackdown on illegal coral harvesting since 2014. Authorities have busted 25 cases of illegal harvesting, with a total of 229 kilograms worth 91 million yuan ($14 million).
