DUBAI, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Air service provider dnata, a subsidiary of Dubai's state-owned Emirates Group, said on Monday it signed an agreement with XiamenAir to provide full ground services for the Chinese carrier's new flights to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, which started on Nov. 29.

Under the three-year agreement, it will provide passenger, ramp and cargo services for 260 Xiamen flights a year in and out of Sydney, dnata said in a statement.

This would include the thrice-weekly service from Fuzhou Changle International Airport in the capital of China's Fujian Province. The agreement will also comprise the twice-weekly service from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in the city of Xiamen, also in Fujian Province.

Daniela Marsilli, CEO of dnata Australia, said dnata was delighted to partner with XiamenAir as they expand operations to Australia for the first time.

She said dnata was committed to providing the airline and their customers with the very best in service and look forward to a multi-year partnership.

In addition to XiamenAir, dnata is also the major supplier of ground handling services to three other Chinese carriers in Australia -- China Eastern, China Southern and Sichuan Airlines.
