Lying on China's southeast coast, Fujian province's subtropical climate means that the region remains a realm of fragrances and colors even through the coldest months.
Resplendent flowery scenes can be found all over Fujian in January and February, and some of the most beautiful flower-filled landscapes are well worth seeking out.
Here are six of the best places to check out around the Spring Festival period:
1. Bellflower cherries in Dehua's forest park
Dehua county in Quanzhou grows bellflower cherry plants with beautiful pink, crimson, and deep red flowers. A native plant of Fujian, bellflower cherries mostly grow in the wild, and you can see some beautiful examples at Tangzhaishan Forest Park.
