Fujian Electronics and Information Group, a subsidiary of China Electronics Corporation, announced a series of big data and cloud computing projects that are open to partnerships, including the Digital Fujian Cloud Computing Center, a home-made informix database, the Fujian big data service platform, the Fujian big data exchange, and a sharing platform for quality educational resources.

The conference also witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between various entities for the further growth of the big data and cloud computing industries.
China southeast big data alliance signed cooperation agreements with East China Normal University, located in Shanghai, and Zhongguancun Big Data Industry Alliance, headquartered in Beijing. Digital Fujian Cloud Computing Co signed agreements with 10 partners, including IT solutions provider New H3C Group, which has headquarters in Beijing and Hangzhou.

Vice-governor of Fujian Zhang Zhinan, Fuzhou Party secretary Ni Yuefeng attended the conference. Together with experts and scholars, including chairman of China Electronics Corporation Rui Xiaowu, and Yang Guoxun, deputy director of the Advisory Committee for State Informatization, they discussed topics such as big data research for use in government administration and the construction of a big data industrial ecosystem.
Ni outlined Fuzhou’s achievements in the big data industry. Fuzhou has been a pioneer of China’s digitalization progress and a key player in Fujian’s digitalization plan. The prefecture-level city has made great achievements in the digitalization of administrative management, public services and information security, and was one of the first cities in the country to pilot China’s plans for smart urbanization. Recently, 65 projects have decided to settle at the China Southeast Big Data Industrial Park in Fuzhou.

Zhang underlined the rapid development of the province’s sunrise healthcare industry and the huge potential it may realize if the province captures this historic opportunity for growth.
According to Zhang, China’s first commercial library for broadband internet of things will be set up in Fuzhou and the city will accelerate its construction as a key link in national internet resources. Government affairs data will be able to be shared across the province by integrating various digital data centers, and a series of cloud databases and platforms will flourish to expand the big data industry into different areas.
