In the first half of 2017 Fujian attracted 207.66 billion yuan ($30.99 billion) in tourism revenue, up 28.3 percent from last year. It received 160.9 million international tourists, 20.5 percent more than in the same period last year.
Of the total number of visitors, stay-over tourists made up 85.3 million, up 19.1 percent, according to the local tourism authority.
The 157.8 million domestic tourists, 20.7 percent more than last year, brought in revenue of 186.78 billion yuan, while 3.1 million overseas tourists brought 20.40 billion yuan in foreign exchange receipts.
