Held recently in Yong’an county in Sanming, one of the major graphite reserves in southern China, the Fujian graphite and graphene matchmaking event gathered experts and scholars from 37 high-education and research facilities and leaders from nearly 100 enterprises and fund management companies.
At the event on Aug 18, some 62 research findings were presented. Graphite and graphene companies posted their demands for new technologies, while several technological achievements found potential investors.
The organizers also arranged for field trips to graphene industrial parks in Yong’an and neighboring Datian county.
Fujian has great expectations for the graphene industry with rich graphite reserves a strong advantage in developing the industry.
The province just issued a development plan for graphene, with plans for a 100-billion-yuan industrial chain by 2025. The province’s graphite reserves exceed 3 million metric tons, most of which are located in Sanming, Longyan and Nanping.
