Fujian in southeast coast of China is a famous hometown for overseas Chinese. The station built in Malaysia can serve overseas Chinese and simultaneously expand Fujian traditional culture.
The event also features a series of culture exchange activities. Fujian Minnan Culture Exhibition presents display boards regarding Fujian province and Minnan culture (the south of Fujian) including traditional opera, tea art and paper cutting. All these play a role in fully unfolding a colorful cultural tradition to all visitors across the world. The stunning artistic performances on Aug 23-24 also offer overseas Chinese various traditional dances and musical performances to promote the mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Malaysia.
After this successfully beginning, in the future, Fujian government plans to establish more Fujian culture oversea stations in other foreign countries to expand Chinese traditional culture and deepen the influence of Minnan cultural abroad.
