Houyuan village is a rustic village in the eastern part of Wutun town, Wuyishan city in South China's Fujian province.
At an altitude of over 800 meters, there are roughly 1,785 mu (119 hectares) of rice fields carved out of the rugged mountain slopes in the village.
When the harvest season approaches, the terraces are a magnificent golden sight, like a huge sculpture that fills the entire landscape, and visitors to the village are often amazed at their scale and beauty.
