A total of 10 sets of lanterns were lit up in the Taijiang district in Fuzhou, capital city of Fujian province Monday night in celebration of the upcoming Lantern Festival, which falls on March 2 this year.

Stretching roughly 1.5 kilometers along the Jiangbinzhong Avenue in the district, the lanterns, featuring local stories, myths and legends, add splendid colors to the festive atmosphere.
