A selection of pictures depicting yellow fallen leaves dotting streets in Fuzhou, capital city of Southeast China's Fujian province recently went viral online.

The fallen leaves created a romantic autumn scene in the city, a stark contrast to its panoramic spring view highlighting green sprouts and bloomed blossoms.

Visitors to the city, thus, can now enjoy the view in two seasons in the same block at the same time.

According to local experts, the odd view is largely attributable to the city's warm subtropical climate.

In Fuzhou, some species of trees don't defoliate over the autumn-winter period, but when spring arrives, some withered leaves naturally come off.
