Eastern China's Fujian province plans to apply digital technologies to build a big data platform for a better ocean and fishery management, the provincial department of ocean and fisheries announced recently.

A big data center will be built to collect information on the economy, management, environment and disaster prevention and mitigation, which will be part of a data platform for industries, military and civilian use and public services.
