The 2018 Art Amoy to show fine artworks from home and abroad is set to take place from May 25 to 28 at Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The art exhibition is expected to attract more than 200 art agencies from 11 countries and regions and showcase 100,000 works of more than one thousand world-famous artists.
Covering an area of 20,000 square meters, the exhibition will consist of three parts: public art pavilion, contemporary art pavilion and classic art pavilion.
The first part will pay close attention to the current ecological environment so as to provoke thoughts amongst the visitors on the importance of green development.
The collections of 50 famous galleries from China, Japan, South Korea and other countries will be on display at the contemporary art pavilion and works of the renowned Spanish artists Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso and Japanese artists Yayoi Kusama and Nobuyoshi Araki will be exhibited.
The classic art pavilion will feature themed individual exhibitions of famous artists from China.
The Art Amoy (Amoy – the old name of Xiamen), supported by Chinese Artists Association, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and China National Academy of Painting, aims to become an artistic hub in the coastal city.
