Over 200 students, dressed in Han costumes, took part in a traditional ritual of “worshiping teachers” at a cultural site in Fuzhou, capital city of East China's Fujian province on Sept 1, the first day of new semester.

The activity aims to carry forward the traditional virtues of respecting teachers, courtesy, patriotism, and honesty.
