Yu Weiguo, Party chief of Fujian province, met Bruce Cheng, president and founder of Delta Group, a Taiwan-based power management and thermal solutions provider, in Fuzhou on Apr 8.

On behalf of the CPC Fujian provincial committee and the provincial government, Yu extended Cheng a warm welcome.

"We deeply admire Mr. Cheng for his commitment to cross-straits exchanges and cooperation, his active support and participation in the development of our hometown (Fujian), and his leadership of Delta group in the cause of energy conservation and environmental protection," Yu said.

He noted that Fujian is currently pushing forward construction of the national ecological civilization experimental zone and exploring ways to seek cross-Straits integrated development.

It is hoped that Delta will give full play to its advantages in industries such as environmental protection and seek more business opportunities for cross-Straits cooperation, thus achieving mutual benefit and win-win results, Yu added.

The Party chief pledged that the government will further implement various policies benefiting Taiwan compatriots and enterprises, and fully support the better and faster development of Delta group in Fujian.

Cheng said that he felt very warm every time he went back to Fujian, and he was proud of the excellent ecological environment and great economic and social development of his hometown.

He said Delta will ramp up investment in terms of the electronic information industry and green building of headquarters and contribute to cross-strait industrial cooperation and integration.
