Preparation for the second 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Expo & the 21st Straits Economic and Trade Fair is currently underway in Fuzhou, capital city of East China's Fujian province, a press conference said on May 12.
The expo will cover an area of 120,000 square meters with 4,500 booths, showcasing products from the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road countries, Taiwan, as well as Fuzhou and its neighboring cities.
According to Hang Dong, deputy mayor of Fuzhou, the expo aims to serve as a platform to expand links with the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road countries, Taiwan and share the dividends generated by economic growth with these countries and regions.
On top of the expo slated to run from May 18 to 22, three parallel forums, namely Silk Road China-Europe Investment Forum, Cross-Straits Supply Chain Integrated Development Summit Forum and Maritime Economy and City Development are set to be held on its sidelines.
