An exhibition featuring 40 pieces of white porcelain art works from Dehua county is currently underway at Suzhou Gardens Museum.
The exhibits, themed on gardens, Kunqu Opera and Jiangnan ladies, not only showcase exquisite scenes of life in Suzhou, but also demonstrate the simplicity and elegance of Dehua white porcelain, highlighting its great craftsmanship and diversified artistic styles.
Jiangnan refers to the region around the south Yangtze River delta encompassing cities such as Suzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Situated in East China's Fujian province, Dehua, China's famous ceramics base, has some 2,600 ceramic companies and over 100,000 employees. In 2017, the output value of the ceramic industry in Dehua reached $3.58 billion.
The exhibition is slated to run until June 15.
