The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone hosted the opening ceremony of its first cross-Straits charity concert, Let Dreams Fly, on March 30, in the assembly hall in Pingtan county, Fujian province, according to Pingtan's official website.

The concert invited music groups consisting of "slow angels", a name referring to children with brain paralysis, from both Pingtan county and Taiwan. Their performances were well received and garnered donations from the local audience.

The charity concert is expected to promote cultural communication and connections among people with physical problems on both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
