More than 80 people have already used a train ticket booking service recently launched by a library in Pingtan, an island county in Fujian.
Wang Hong, a Pingtan Library employee, said that most of those who had used the service were migrant workers hailing from southwestern China - including the provinces of Sichuan and Guizhou, and Chongqing municipality.
The library opened the service in a bid to help migrant workers who have no time to go to the train station - or have no computer skills - to purchase tickets ahead of the Spring Festival, China's most important traditional festival that falls on Jan 31 this year.
Wang Xiufeng, who is from Jilin province and works at the Tandong Boulevard construction site in Pingtan, booked his own train ticket - and also those of his colleagues - at the library, and he said they are all delighted with this service.
The service is available from Monday to Thursday and also on Sunday.
