Pingtan Times, the main local newspaper in Pingtan county, Fujian province, is giving away small gifts to 1,000 readers ahead of the Spring Festival which falls on Jan 31 this year.

The newspaper said on Jan 15 that readers will have the chance to win gifts such as calligraphy couplets and wall calendars if they take part in various activities – such as sending their personal stories for publication.
