Officials inspected a shopping mall in Pingtan county on Jan 17, and identified various safety hazards, including blocked emergency exits, issues concerning electrical wiring, crowded booths, and incorrectly installed firefighting equipment.

The officials told the managers of the mall to address the issues ahead of the Spring Festival holidays – warning that failure to comply could lead to suspension of business.
