The leadership of the Pingtan Area of the Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) was recently established, local news portal ptnet.cn reported on July 22.

Li Dejin was appointed director of the administrative committee, according to an announcement by the Fujian Provincial Party Committee.

Xu Weize now holds the post of the committee’s executive deputy director. Xie Xiutong, Wang Jinzu and Lin Jie are all deputy directors.

The Fujian FTZ was inaugurated on April 21 and consists of three parts, in Pingtan, Fuzhou and Xiamen.

Fujian authorities also relaxed investment rules to speed up reforms amid economic hardships.
