The projects range from medical technology, cross-border e-commerce, finance, tourism, Internet and modern logistics.

CIFIT is a large investment event to attract foreign direct investment. About 50,000 travelling enterprises and merchants from over 100 countries and regions took part this year.

Many have shown strong interest in investing in Pingtan, an island county in Fujian province, as China is actively advocating its Road and Belt initiative with countries and regions along the land and maritime silk roads.

“We wish to push for e-commerce in Pingtan, taking advantage of its preferential policies and geographical position,” said a manager from an Indonesian company.
