A business incubator for small and medium-sized companies by young Taiwan people has passed a general examination in Pingtan, Fujian province, reported local news portal ptnet.cn on Sept 28.

Inspectors approved the 860,000-square-meter project after they investigated the incubator in Jinjing Bay District. They also heard work reports by constructors.

This marks a step closer to official inauguration. It now only needs to pass several assessments in some specific aspects such as fire protection, said Yan Xuyou, an engineering supervisor.

As of Sept 15, 400 projects have signed up to settle in the incubator, with businesses ranging from cross-border e-commerce to industry-university-research cooperation.
