Liao Anxie and Wei Junkai, two veterans of the media industry, are pondering the idea of shooting a video to promote Pingtan's unique image.

They shared their thoughts with the local news website ptnet.cn, while attending the cross-Straits art show with the theme of "magnificent Straits style", which opened on Oct 10.

Gathering a great deal of outstanding artwork created by calligraphers, painters, and photographers from Pingtan and Taiwan, the event proved to be inspiring to its visitors in stirring the idea for the video shoot.

Liao and Wei, who are the president and secretary-general of the cross-Straits association for film, culture, creativity and tourism, know the island city quite well and have been impressed by Pingtan's cultural environment.
