On August 1 (local time), the project in Sambizanga of 3000 resettlement apartments and the infrastructure construction undertaken by CGGC was formally announced its kick-off. Meanwhile, the cornerstone-laying ceremony was held and attended by the owner, engineers, local government, subcontractor representative. CGGC Angola Company and all staff from this Project also attended the ceremony.
At the event, the owner representative Gefelson, the engineer representative Joseph and the leaders of the Project expressed their gratitude for the working personnel and partners who have devoted to promoting the project. Furthermore, they also showed confidence and determination to cooperate in the construction of the resettlement buildings. CGGC Angola Company announced the commencement and representatives from all parties together laid the foundation stone.
It is learned that this is a livelihood project to help migrants resettle down after house demolition. Angola president and the Angola government have attached great importance to this project. As required by the progress plan, 1st stage of 500 apartments and supporting municipal infrastructure will be completed by the end of December 2016.
