He Xin, deputy mayor of Zhanjiang: schools run by non-governmental sectors to boost Zhanjiang's education
In recent years, Zhanjiang has put a lot of efforts into the improvement of education to become a strong city in Guangdong province in terms of education quality. Schools run by non-governmental sectors have achieved good results and have produced a positive effect to society. They have also generated a kind of competition to the traditional schooling systems, faculty structures and the ways of students to gain knowledge. I think the competition is good for the overall educational development in Zhanjiang.

Lin Haiwu, Party secretary of Zhanjiang's finance bureau: more constructions of roads will bring more investment in Zhanjiang
The infrastructure has big potential to be developed in Guangdong. At present, the province has a total distance of roads to 7,018 kilometers but Zhanjiang only accounts for 238 kilometers of it. During the 12th Five-Year Plan, we did not open any new expressways in Zhanjiang. Now, the preparation work for some expressways is ongoing in the city and I think we will see a substantial breakthrough during the 13th Five-Year Plan.

Zhang Yuanping, a Guangdong CPPCC representative of local farmers in Zhanjiang: a suggestion to build the small-sized garbage treatment pools in villages
Because there are no special trucks serving for the garbage transferred from villages to towns, people along the transferring roads have to stand the smell of the garbage and the environment is often polluted by the garbage. I'd like to suggest the construction of small-sized garbage treatment pools in villages. We can treat the garbage in a preliminary way and some of it can even be recycled for other usages. I think it is environment-friendly and cost-saving.
