By Xu Lili Updated: 2016-03-09
Fu Zhenjun, a 28-year-old entrepreneur, is one of the pioneers in Zhanjiang to test water in 3D printing industry.
Fu was born in Zhanjiang's Chikan district. He worked in Guangzhou for four years after graduating from Linnan Normal University in 2010.
He was impressed by the 3D printing technology, seeing a bright future in the industry during a 3D expo in Guangzhou last year.

A high-tech business incubator project was launched in Zhanjiang as the Zhanjiang municipal government places much emphasis on technology innovation and entrepreneurship. Fu thought it was a good time to start his own business. He quit his job in Guangzhou and returned to Zhanjiang.
In November 2014, Fu, together with several partners, established a 3D printing company. He spent all his savings and even borrowed some money from relatives to launch the business.
Fu's team successfully developed personalized 3D printing products in the first half of 2015 and marketed them in Zhanjiang.

On his desk in his 40-sq-meter office, there are two 3D printers and some 3D printing products in the shape of a rabbit, roses and even comic character the Hulk.
"Starting a business is like crossing a river, treading on the stones in the riverbed. As a boss, I felt the burden of expanding the business on my shoulders. I have to do market research and develop the business and learn about management skills at the same time," Fu said.
Currently, the company develops 3D printing products and sells 3D printers. Providing customized products for young clients is his ultimate goal, he says.
"3D printing products can meet post-80s and post-90s generations' demands for individuality, which are full of business opportunities," he said.
