One-day trip

Gongshu district, boasting the unique beauty of the canal, has opened a one-day trip route.

Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenery along the canal, climb mountains, admire many local folk arts and have a chance to experience folk lifestyle.

The route starts at the Gongchen Bridge, goes across the Shengli River, Shangtang River and reaches the end at the Half-Mountain Park, a newly-opened park.

Within the trip, visitors can stop and take photos at the Gongchen Bridge, the Canal Culture Square, the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal Museum, Old Canal Street, Qingsha Park, Wushengjia, Gushui Street, Aoting Farmer's Residence, the Huanxi Yongning Bridge and the Half-Mountain Park.

They are invited to a folk family to have a cup of tea and have a dinner with local farmers.

If visitors find the trip is still not enough, they are welcome to pay a visit to an exhibition in the Hangzhou Steel Group.

The exhibition, themed "how steel was forged", offers a series of photos and steel products to observe.

The group was named as the Zhejiang Youth and Teenager Education Base and Scientific Education Base, Hangzhou Patriotism Education Base and International Tourism Spot. Scenic spots such as Zijin Park, Tianxiang Road, Danxin Grassland and Chuangye Pavilion are also beckoning visitors.
