How to keep fit is a life-long topic discussed among many females: Should I go on a diet? Should I go to the gym? It’s hard to make the choice. However, women from Hangzhou know the answer, judging by their recent participation in the 1st National Fitness Day.
On August 8th, the 1st National Fitness Day was held at Yellow Dragon Stadium, welcoming over 50 professional bikini-wearing models to challenge a Yellow Dragon record in the pool, among other activities.
Crossing a floating bridge became the most popular and challenging game, as dozens of floating boards connected together by ropes across the pool definitely proved to be a nuisance for the girls. The game is all about balance, but as water drifted over the boards, the wet surface became extremely slippery as the models tried to run over the bridge. Some girls either fell over the boards or slipped directly into the pool. One could only imagine the scene.
The determination of the models from the New Silk Road modeling company enlightened the whole stadium, turning it into a big water party. Spectators watching the competition became so excited that they couldn't wait to jump into the pool and be part of the game.
The sporting event was organized to mark National Fitness Day, recognized by the State Council on January 7th, 2009, aiming to advocate overall participation in sports as well as commemorate the success of the Beijing Olympics.
