From September 12 to 22, Hangzhou will hold the Peony Art Festival, which will feature highlights such as the Australian dance show “Burn the Floor,” as well as other musical selections.
“Burn the Floor” began as a ballroom dance demonstration at Elton John’s 50th birthday party in 1997. Australian producer Harley Medcalf attended the party and was mesmerized, and turned it into a major dance phenomenon. In 1998, the show stormed its way onto stages around the world and has since toured 32 countries and regions, selling over three million tickets.
When “Burn the Floor” was performed in Beijing and Shanghai, crowds of fans came to see a breathtaking blend of Latin and Ballroom dance. This time, intensity of Tango, Samba, Mambo, Quickstep and Swing will definitely burn the floor of Hangzhou Theater.
The art festival will also include musical “Butterfly”, a concert featuring twelve world-class tenors, a Piano and Cello duet with Silvia Chiesa and Maurizio Baglini, and a piano solo by Shen Wenyu.
All Hangzhou Theater’s Peony Credit Card holders are entitled to free admission to all the performances during the festival. |
