The 28th annual World Airline Road Race began in Hangzhou yesterday morning- China’s first time hosting the event.

Zhang Jianting, vice mayor of Hangzhou, addressed the opening ceremony.

Over 600 runners from world airlines participated in the event, as well as over 100 local volunteers. The races began at the Huanglong Sports Center, with contestants running along the West Lake for either 5 km or 10 km.
