Since this year, Hangzhou responded to the challenge posted by the global financial crisis positively and implemented policies formulated by the central government and the provincial government.

Thus, the economic operation shifts to the promising side and presents the sign of bottoming out and the upward trend.

A preliminary calculation shows Hangzhou fulfills GDP of 346.974 Billion Yuan during the first three quarters, growing at 8.5%.

The number raises 5.1% and 1.9% comparing to the first quarter and the first half year. The first, second and tertiary industry has gained 12.314, 166.853 and 167.807 billion yuan respectively at 4.5%, 4.0% and 13.8%.
