The first group of "New Zhejiang Entrepreneurs" was announced Jan 19. Ten Zhejiang entrepreneurs are nominated for their contributions to science and technology, which was the theme of the award ceremony.

Zhao Hongzhu, the secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, sent a congratulation letter to the award ceremony, while Vice Governor Jin Deshui attended the ceremony and congratulated the winners.

Each entrepreneur was asked for a key word to describe his career when accepting the award. Zhang Tianren, chairman of Zhejiang Tianneng Battery, used the word “responsibility” to describe himself. He is famous in Zhejiang business circles for his research about the contributions of electric bicycles to a low-carbon lifestyle.
