Zebra on the move

2010-September-30 09:19:22

The Zebra Music Festival, with its theme of Change for Easy Life, will leave its Chengdu home and move to Hangzhou from Oct 2-4.

The first Zebra Music Festival, held during the May Day Holiday of 2009, saw it emerge as the country's biggest music festival, attracting 150,000 visitors. After another successful run this May, Zebra Hangzhou will be held at Phoenix International Design Gardens, 20 km from downtown Hangzhou.

With numerous music festivals taking place in other parts of the country during the National Day Holiday, including the Modern Sky and Snow Mountain music festivals, this year's Zebra lineup will focus more on pop and folk music.

Beijing-based rocker Zhang Chu, Taiwan pop-rock musician Chang Chen-yue, rapper MC Hot Dog and singer Zhang Xuan will all take to the stage in Hangzhou.

Together with popular rock bands The Catcher in the Rye and Mr Chelonian, the lineup is aimed at ensuring the festival caters to diverse tastes.
