Under the direction of the Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee Liang Baohua, Huaqiao International Service Business Park has taken a series of measures to attract leading enterprises to establish headquarters at Huaqiao.
The first involves the environment. Huaqiao has allocated more than 80,000,000 yuan to building a central park. Huaqiao has also invited the government and enterprises to construct high-end office buildings. As of now, NSK’s R&D centre and Greenlands’ headquarters will be put into use soon since their constructions have been completed.
In addition, recycling of the treated water and recovering of the rain water are encouraged. Solar energy, geothermal heat pumps and other environmentally friendly building materials are widely used in Huaqiao.
The second is the financial support. Huaqiao announces several new policies to encourage companies from home and abroad to establish headquarters there. Among others, the preferential tax policy and investment subsidies with a maximum of 15 million yuan effectively reduce the cost of operations for businesses.
The third is Huaqiao’s conditions to train talents. Huaqiao has invested 390 million yuan in building a training base and invited the Ambow Education Group to train service outsourcing talents. In addition, Huaqiao, in cooperation with the American Learning Group and the Shanghai International Banking and Finance Institute, has been introducing excellent talents to enterprises.
The last but not least is investment invitation. Huaqiao focuses on three main goals. First, to analyze local manufacturers in order to separate manufacturers form services and to establish the headquarters for R&D and sales. Second, to persuade Japanese enterprises within Kunshan City with NSK as a case in point to construct headquarters at Huaqiao. Third, to pay active visits to large enterprises in Jiangsu Province and to attract them to build headquarters at Huaqiao by all means.
With the effective implementation of the above-stated measures, more than 20 enterprises have been settling their headquarters at Huaqiao, with an investment amount up to 13.5 billion yuan. There is no doubt that with more and more enterprises moving their headquarters here, Huaqiao’s day as a satellite town for the metropolis is not far.
