To mark the upcoming anniversary of the founding of China’s People’s Liberation Army on August 1, leaders of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone’s managing committee visited families of former soldiers across the country.

Fifty thousand yuan of consolation money was given to 66 families of former soldiers some of whom are disabled due to service-related causes.

Leaders of the managing committee, who visited the families with the aim to learn about difficulties former soldiers’ face due to their physical disabilities, urged the local government to assist them with their daily and immediate needs.
