Ren Yuanxu, a member of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee and director-general of the managing committee of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, and Zhang Jianwen and Cheng Wenrong, deputy director-generals, were present at the mobilization meeting.

During an address to the meeting, Ren praised the contributions of Huaqiao government and enterprise leaders to the development and construction of the business park.

"There has been a huge change at Huaqiao International Service Business Park in past three years since its foundation, especially in the transfer from a manufacturing industry to modern service industry, the transfer from a town to a modern city and the transfer from blue-collar worker to white-collar professionals," Ren said.

"All three changes are contributing to the large amount of investments, high speed and quality of construction," Ren said.

Ren said in the next three years, the centralization of cities, industries and talents will enhance by more than 60 percent.

"At the same time, we plan to finish 18 projects and centralize 200,000 business people. The construction projects are large in number, the investment is huge, the time limit is short and the difficulty of the task is great," Ren said.

At the same time, he urged enterprises, institutions and individuals to comprehend the development rules, obey relevant regulations, manage the projects reasonably, engage in rationally pricing and work together in building an international business park and contributing to the future economy of Huaqiao.

At the meeting, Chen deployed Huaqiao's construction tasks for year 2010. He said new projects worth 600 million yuan will kick off this year, and  the projects which totals 300 million yuan will be completed. 800,000 square meters functional projects will be established.

The Bingjiang Scenery Zone, Binjiang Road, Jishan Road and other greening projects are expected to be revamped this winter and the spring. In addition, construction will begin on the road and bridge developments in the cross-Straits Business Cooperation Zone.
