After almost two years of planning and construction, the first phase of the Suzhouhe Riverside Wetland Park landscape project has been completed, six months ahead of schedule.

Covering an area of 40 hectares, the wetland park has beautiful scenery and ecological benefits, and was listed as a Jiangsu Province Taihu Basin Water Environment Comprehensive Control Project. It was granted a support fund of 1.8 million yuan by Jiangsu provincial authorities. The Suzhouhe Riverside Wetland Park, settled in a 60-hectare-long strip along east Suzhou River, was once an ecological wasteland. To improve the ecological environment, the Huaqiao International Service Business Park started the riverside wetland park project in 2010.

The park’s ecology and water environment plan was designed by SWA Group and Herrera Group. The plan utilizes original resources and protects wetland biodiversity.
