Huaqiao Weilaidao International Imported Food Center is currently under construction. Covering an area of 30,000 square meters, the food center's first stage is expected to open in early October. By then, citizens can buy imported food at prices 20 percent less than the market price, Kunshan Daily reported on April 15.

With a total area of 100,000 sq m, the food center will become a top-notch national imported food collection and distributing center integrating trade, display, finance, storage and e-commerce. It will provide comprehensive services for foreign suppliers and domestic consumers through cloud platforms, the Internet of Things and other modern technologies.
