A kick-off meeting for the ninth general election of a new community residents' committee in Huaqiao International Service Business Park, Kunshan city, Eastern China's Jiangsu province, was held on Oct 31.

The meeting released the current election session's principles, duration, election methods, organization and procedures. The election should motivate all people in the community under a detailed plan with legal procedures. The election will keep information open to the public and strictly follow related laws and regulations to ensure the election proceeds in due manner.

After the meeting, a brief training was given to relevant personnel concerning the election rules and procedures.

Huaqiao, located in the Kunshan Huaqiao Economic Development Zone on the Shanghai - Jiangsu province border, is one of the province's demonstration zones specializing in modern services. The general election in Huaqiao community is a way to maintain its administration ability and social stability.
